Where is my data stored?

All data for your account is stored in a Hetzner Data Center in Germany. The data is stored on a dedicated server used exclusively by Open Payout. The data is stored on 2 hard drives both of which are encrypted at rest.

Will Open Payout keep my data confidential?

Yes, Open Payout will never share your or your client's data with any other party.

How do I delete my data?

Email [email protected] or contact us using our chat widget and we will delete all data associated with your account within 1 business day. You can also immediately delete your data by visiting the Xero Settings menu if you're logged in with Xero.

How is my account secured?

Open Payout uses Xero and QuickBooks authentication. Only people with access to your Xero account or QuickBooks organization will be able to access your Open Payout account. If you remove a person's access to your Xero account or QuickBooks organization, they will be immediately locked out of your Open Payout account.

Will Open Payout read the financial data from my accounting program?

No, Open Payout only reads configuration data from your QuickBooks organization and Xero account. Open Payout will never read an invoice or journal entry from your accounting program that it did not create.
